vermilion parish. didn't see shite this morning. heard sparse shooting. not unusual though. birds show up between the splits for us. gonna be too busy will school until then anyway

Where are you in V Parish? We hunt in Wright and it's been pretty poor. Shot 5 yesterday and going out now to see if we can kill a few more before the weekend ends.

Yes they were in the blind this AM, pretty well behaved other than one fight that drew blood from a busted lip. Nothing like calling ducks while trying to separate the little monsters

we fished bayou dupont/lake laurier yesterday...
saw 20 ducks.. all dos gris...
fewest ducks I have ever seen in that area during winter.

Fog really had the birds messed up today south of lake Arthur. Specialbellies are begging to be killed. Flight birds in big groups as the morning went on. I think I can honestly say I haven't seen a duck as much as react to a call this year. A little strange but we had a good hunt so whatever.

I was on the big river this weekend and saw a fair amount of mallards along with bunches of teal. I hope they will hang out until the season opens.
