Does anyone have any idea what it's worth in this condition?

Those motors are likely worthless. You may be able to replace the entire lower? I don’t know honestly.

The hull will need to be sanded down and either new bottom paint or maybe new gelcoat. Will need to be checked for blisters.

Not sure I’d be willing to bid $30k for it.

That is a total crapshoot without driving down and looking at it. Motors are a complete unknown. May have to replace. Who knows what the condition of the interior or wiring is. Gauges, rod holders and electronics have been stripped. No way to even start an estimate other than a complete low ball.

I love the idea of restoring the boat. If you were to win the bid, what would be budget to restore it?

Only thing of value looks to be trailer, hull and Yamaha controls. Might be able to get something for the heads, but I wouldn't run with those engines. They've been sitting up way to long it appears.

Motors are worthless, no cleats, bottom will need to be gelcoates, all through hulls bad and in need of replacing, controls and all electronics worthless, trailer probably needs work. IMO this is junk.

Not arguing with you on this, I posted more out of amazement as to what money it's bringing.

Its probably a $100k boat in good fishing shape and rigged at that age. No way id spend $30k on it in that shape. It MIGHT be a gem in disguise but i seriously doubt it. That's a major project for a retired dude with plenty money who just wants to do it.

60k+ to repower
40k to buy boat

20-30k to fix the boat plus electronics. Doesn’t add up.

No it doesn't at all. 40k is ignorant for that rig and no way in hell would i even consider it.

You could buy one rigged and ready to fish for not much more than that. Itll have some age and dated electronics but they're out there. 40k for a 30' project hull is dumbbb

Brand new thats a $250-300,000 boat.

It needs.....
New Engines-$75,000
Electronics and wiring-$6-15,000
Trailer overhaull, -$3,000
Wetsand and wax, $2000

If you can get the boat for $40 you would need to drop another $100,000 in it to get it in "ship shape"

My buddy scored a mid 2000s 31 contender for right under 100k. Came with updated electronics, immaculate condition, and twin 300s with 4yrs warranty left and under 500 hours.

No way Id buy that for 40k

the hull (if not breached or damaged structurally) is worth far more than 40K. your buddy stole that 31 at less than 100.

those 300's with warranty are worth 1/2 that

theres three days left on that auction i would not be shocked to see it bump 75- 90

You are looking at a minimum of $130k when you are all said and done with this boat. Those engines are worthless and you are going to have to replace the fuel tanks, refurbish & replace almost everything on this thing. I wouldn't pay more than $10k for the entire thing.

When I was helping him look there were plenty of other (mid 2000's) 31ft contenders in "turn key" condition for under $125k.

I mean there are even some brand new 30+ boats that can be had for ~175k.

It would be a fun project IMO, but you definitely won't be coming out ahead money wise with that hull.

Drop the price to under $15k and maybe it's worth it

I’d like to know how just about everybody in this thread knows that the motors are junk without ever looking at them in person. I’m not arguing that they are useable. What from those pictures tell you that the motors are completely worthless.

from a "how many dollars are they worth" standpoint, they are worthless even if running. it'd cost you more than you could sell them for just to get them pulled. from the barnacles/etc its clear this boat hasnt run in a long time

they are worth zero dollars
