fricking A guys...if anyone tells ya painting a boat is easy, they're full of shite. Also, once the paint is on, every damn flaw shines like the sun haha

Oh well, it wasn't ever gonna be perfect....now where is that guy who said he would help rewire this beast for some cold beer

Looking good. I don't see the sandgrit surface on the decks and hatch lids, maybe I'm missing it. Its gonna be slippery as owlshit without it. I fish barefoot a lot and have to constantly remind myself of where not to step getting in and out

One coat, gonna let it sit 24 hours and do some sanding on some paint sags then apply second coat and add some non skid.

Gotta admit though, every damn fiberglass pit and every uneven spot on the boat stands out and its driving me crazy. I want it to be perfect, but honestly im at the point of who gives a shite. If it floats, who cares.

I bet after a couple more coats of paint then clear coat, that should fix a good bit of the imperfections.

**i'm not a fiberglass expert though**

Considered something like seadeck or hydroturf? I’ve got a few pads of hydroturf on mine in select areas and it doesn’t seem to hold grunge or water to bad. I’ve thought of covering all my non skid with it, stuff can be rough on the feet after a layoff. So easy to clean tho

There's a reason metalflake was invented and used on boats.

Try a light skim of this, block sand it out and then paint. Only apply in the areas that have a pit or severe scratch marks, not meant to be a all over type of product.

Me too. I’d be over there helping him out if he was right up the road. Much love for a man with some gumption. He’s gonna like that boat and that makes it even better
