My Dad mentioned wanting one of these for his Remington 30-06 while we were hunting over Christmas. I think he has a Remington 742. Any idea where I can order this from?

Can the 742 fire 20 rounds without jamming?

I have a 15 round mag for my 30-06 Remington 742. My first deer rifle. Haven't fired that gun since 1994 though.

No idea where to find a similar magazine. It came alonf with the used gun when I purchased it used in early 90s. Never had issues with it jamming as many claim about that model but it sprays bullets everywhere. Although i killed several deer with it, I never could hold a decent group with that rifle. Terrible gun at the range.

Damn... My dad has that same semi 30-06. Had no idea you could put a 20 round mag on there. That's a magpul in the picture... wonder if that's fake?

Make sure the barrel is tight where it connects to the receiver. There's a nut that holds the barrel on that will rattle loose and cause it lose accuracy. My old man's 742 did the same thing. I tightened it and it's now a good shooter again.

Looks like a great setup for some tower shooting.
