You'll catch something. Saltwater fishing is for retards. Just throw a shrimp out there and something will pick it up.

I use to catch a stringer of perch on a snoppy pole with hot dogs for bait when I was a kid.

I'm still an inshore noob of sorts, but I don't get it.
You can catch fish on live bait. But then when you catch fish on live bait people are all like "oh you caught fish on live bait? you must suck" so if you don't make it harder on yourself and use artificials then you suck at fishing even if you're catching fish, but if you catch on artificials you don't suck, even if it's less fish? Like, I ain't tryna make things complicated, I'm just tryna catch fish!

My only goal when I'm fishing. I'm not trying to impress the elitists.

Well, you can't just throw shrimp out there and expect to catch a bunch of trout. Redfish and cats, sure. I just like catching fish on artificials like topwater, double rigs, and spinner baits, not just sitting there drowning a shrimp under a cork.

I'm just feeding it brah, I'm right there with ya

I just have no strategy. I have a tackle box full of shite, and just throw stuff out there and hope it works

That's a pain in the arse, especially surf fishing or kayak fishing. Two of my favorite ways to fish.
