Saw a lot of deer today. Frustrating and crushed after my afternoon hunt. Had a nice main frame 10pt I hadn’t seen since bow season right under my nose. Was watch to young bucks spar and when I turned my head to the left that 10pt was standing no further than 50yards from me. When I eased to grab my gun he caught me turning my head and stared dead at me for 3+ minutes and we had a Mexican stand off. Eventually he either caught wind or I blinked first and he was gone. Very very frustrating. The chances are almost zilch I’ll see that buck again before the end of the season. Terrible feeling

Ate many a burger at the hilltop as a kid headed to our camp in union church. That shell had some great fried gizzards too. Bude used to have the bargain box too!!

You'll never win that battle. I'd rather take my chances getting on him slowly whole looking at me...as slow as humanly possible.

We went to the old Thibodeaus tonight. It’s now Pearls place. The fish was good and so was the service. The wife and kids enjoyed theirs as well. We will go back for sure.

Been eating at hilltop since I can remember. I have family in Bude. Been up there my whole life. Shell station has gone to shite in the past 3 years.

nah, my uncle and i hunting out of blinds over feeders. there are probably 4 different sounders on his place at any given time. they go around to different ones at different times of the day. we could've killed 10 last night

Yes it is. Sprint Mart bought the Shell station several years ago and it's nothing of what it used to be.
