Couldn’t fit another vehicle in the club parking lot yesterday. I’m the only truck there today. Had 2 other cats waiting with me but they shagged arse when the rain picked up a bit. Bunch of fair weather hunters out here

Came sit the pipeline with the 300 win mag. Thermacell working overtime on these pterodactyls.

Itawamba County. 48 degrees. Summit climber. On a transition between hardwoods and pine thicket. Got a couple hours until the dogs (that can't read signs) from the lease next door push the thicket and the road hunters pop everything brown.

Saw the dog hunters staging at the gas station this morning and there wasn't a one that was under 300 lbs. Even their kids looked like hypertension.

Sabine 54. North wind. .270 wsm on trail corner where I missed a doe at dark thirty last night. Bottom is flooded out over road where I intended to hunt but not happening today. Maybe that will make them move more where I’m sitting.

Edit: just saw a tree crash down in the woods behind me. Always reassuring.

Big long tined spike out here now. First time I’ve seen him in the daytime. Getting excited as every time I’ve seen him in camera the big 8 I’ve been hunting isn’t far behind. Im hoping they’re still running buddies.

Box stand food plots on batture
30 nosler
Was dead calm when I got on stand at 545, north wind has picked up considerably. Same group of does come out like clockwork 15 minutes after shooting hours start and 15m before they end. There's two 8 pts running together chasing this group, we'll see what happens.
