Kenyan gets nudged at the water jump, misses the barrier, has to go back around and jump over it. He ran an insane final 500m but wasn't enough.

Looking at replay you're right. I wonder if he'll get through on protest. To complicate things more, he put his hands on the barrier to clear it once he came back around, which I'm 95% sure is a DQ. I guess he could argue he didn't gain an advantage from it, but we'll see
ETA i take it back, world Athletics rules say as long as both your feet go over the barrier and not around it, you can clear it however you want. I bet the Kenyan gets through on protest

He overtrains his athletes and chew them up. Beamish had been saying he was hanging on by a thread injury-wise.
He better hope Obiri wins and Nuguse runs well in the final because out of the top training group in the US, that's all that's left. Entire team was injured or underperformed.
