The men have a really young team and not much of a chance sadly. The women on the other hand will hopefully be fighting with Canada for the gold.

I remember when the NHL used to send their stars. Remember in college waking up at 3 am to watch live

It’s a travesty that the NHL fricked this up.

Basically all-star games where they actually gave full effort. It was great.

Vancouver Olympics was some of the best hockey I've ever watched.

I can’t even remember why they changed it. Is it juniors kids mostly? I’m guessing this was a parity move?

So many NHL games were canceled/postponed due to COVID they didn't have the time to give the NHLers for the Olympics and still salvage the season. The NHL announced it just before Christmas.

Basically, so many of their games got screwed up because of omnicron that they needed to find a period to reschedule them. Thats what they are using their traditional olympic break for this go around

That 2010 team was so fun to watch man. Only 1980 tops that tournament.

2010 was frickin awesome. We whipped Canada's arse in the group stage. The gold medal game was awesome even though we lost. Scored the game tying goal with seconds left.

2014 was awesome too but 2010 was tGOAT.

If these Olympics weren’t in China they would have sent NHL players
Teams didn’t want to risk sending their players there and then getting them stuck because of ridiculous rules

Traitor Watch: Skating for China:
Jeremy Smith, GK, b. Dearborn, MI
Jake Chelios, D, b, Chicago, IL
Cory Kane, F, b. Irvine, CA
Never did like Chris Chelios. Looks like his kid is a scumbag too!
