If it goes onto the beach or sandy shoreline, it can be cleaned up pretty easily

Perdido Bay has a shitpile of marsh shoreline.

Yeah, Big Lagoon State Park is in that area. I think the inlet into Big Lagoon is small enough to manage though. I actually thought the baysides in various areas would stay nice, even when more oil shows up. But that video says its getting into Perdido Bay, and the boom is acting like a funnel instead of protecting.

The report is exactly what I just heard first hand from some clients of mine down there.

They had a ton of workers and equipment sitting/staging at the bridge since the second week of May. How can they not have blocked the oil from getting into the pass?

The dammed off the pass into Little Lagoon in Gulf Shores. Hope it helps.

I have a friend that lives on Little Lagoon in GS.

Talked to him last night. He said that he had seen no oil in the lagoon yet, but that the smell at times was giving him headaches and nausea.

He also said that he had seen little evidence of clean up crews on West Beach on the other side of the road from his house.

He sounds pissed, and I can't say I blame him.

You could probably search the last four weeks of this board and find maybe two people who posted this in the exact context you are trying to say it in. Rush Limbaugh is about the only person I have seen say that there is nothing to worry about.

Now, when people were asking 3 and 4 weeks ago about oil on the beaches in Bama and Florida at that time, folks were saying all was clear.

It's going to be lot easier and quicker to clean up sand beaches than marshes. KC.

That link doesn't say that, he's simply saying that the GI businesses are not going broke yet.

I don't know why you want to freak out so bad. Is it going to change anything? Help anything? Just because we're not running around screaming it's the end of the world doesn't mean we're not worried.

I don't want to go down the politard road, but Limbaugh has NEVER said that. Liberal blogs take shite that he says out of context all the time and the next thing you know it's FACT.

there are more people chimming in than the TA.......and, what are you so concerned about when people share their disappointment/worry/fear? And, please share with me where I have issued a call to arms or a plea to go running in the streets......you can't.

Jesus Christ Charles, give it a rest already, if you are so fricking worried then why dont you come down here and do something rather than run around like a hysterical little bitch...it may seem bad, and yes in some instances it really fricking sucks, but frick man, it's going to be okay, just quit being a fricking worry wart, frick you worry more than a frickin women for gods sake

Exhibit B:

quote:

He said Grand Isle is making more money now than they ever have. All motels have no vacancy signs. Every marina is full. You can't hardly get into a restaurant. Said right now the birds are diving, shrimp and trout are jumping and the dophins are playing.

GTFO with that weakass rebutle!
