If a company has it's permit aready, I wonder if they will be allowed to do the well? I'm hearing from one engineer that they will have to wait it out regardless of if they have the permit or not, but he's not sure.

Anyone else hearing anything?

they are saying the ship filled with mud has ran out of mud but another one is on it's way.

How big are these "mud ships"?

there are 3 additional ships on sight with mud. Thad Allen needs to be put out to pasture, he is done...go retire. Horrible person to be running this.

Fred has said that that info. is wrong and that they already have ships on site with mud.

It came from Allen, right?

At this point, I would prefer that Fred update us on this and not Thad Allen.

If you watch that video that BP put out on Tuesday they had three mud ships on site when they began.

I just found out yesterday that the company I work for is the one providing the mud that is going in the hole.

I have some pictures, I just can't post them from work.

Allen said one ship that was pumping fluid into the well has run out of the fluid, or "mud," and that a second ship is on the way. He said he was encouraged by the progress. "We'll get this under control," he said.

not to be a wet blanket or anything -- but this top kill has not "worked" yet. it appears to be "working" but this thing isn't done until it's permanently abandoned.

premature positive talk like this is a sure-fire way to put the gris-gris on yourself.

They are saying ONE ship is out and is being replaced. There was no implication that there is a stoppage of pumping or anything like that.

Let's assume this works.

What could be possible explanations for waiting this long to do it?

I'm sure stabbing it was first necessary, but I mean since then.

i would assume they are just offshore supply vessels. these vessels have built-in mud and water tanks in the hull that can carry thousands of gallons.
