I have lived in NC and/or Raleigh for 30 years. Those of you coming to the game need to know the baseball stadium (the Bosh they call it) it right in the middle of campus - it is off Ridge - same road as the law school. There is virtually no parking near the stadium during the school year. May be different with the students on summer break. So the posts on here about recommended parking and to check on the UNC website are the way to go.

Franklin Street is a short walk from stadium - easy. Just follow the UNC fans. They are pretty friendly to everyone except NCState and Duke. For pregame Franklin street is the easiest choice.

Some have asked difference between NCState and UNC for the games? The UNC stadium is actually a lot bigger. NCState has a good ball program and really, really small stadium.

From Raleigh-Durham airport it is only 20 minutes to Chapel Hill (unless there is a lot of traffic). From Greensboro (PTI airport) it is 40-60 minutes depending on traffic. From Charlotte it is 2 hours.

I have my 30th college reunion at Davidson on Friday and Saturday - I will try to come to campus on Sunday and buy a ticket, so if they win on Friday or Saturday I will be there.
Well said tigergirl26. Well said.
I am sympathetic to the OP. But he has over thought it.

There are only three things that were learned last night.

1) Sometimes 19 year-old kids take the night off. It is inexplicable why they do. They are 19 or 20 or 21. When your team does this you probably will lose - especially on the road in the SEC.

2) If the QB throws 3 interceptions and your team scores no points in a half of any SEC game your team is going to lose nearly all the time. This has always been true. What else is new?

3) If your Defense cannot consistently defend 3 and 15 3 and 9 3 and 8 then your team will lose.

We learned nothing new about our team. They are incredibly young on defense.

Why are so many people surprised?

Why are so many ready to quit on the team and the coaches?

It stinks they lost a winnable game, but nearly every team does.

I chose to love being an LSU fan and look for the team to improve as it matures on the defensive side of the ball.
One thing for everyone to remember - in football you play 4 qtrs. Always have. LSU's strength is depth - for 4 qtrs at RB. So, runs btw tackles in 1st quarter wear down teams for the 4th qtr. Always have. Always will. Especially if you are putting in fresh legs to run the ball in the 3rd and 4th qtr. This is why LSU record when leading at half time is so wonderful.

What is happening this year?

7 fumbles in two games.

Lots of dropped passess.

Correct the fumbles and drops and LSU is a better team than they have shown the last two weeks.

Only other comment I would make is about offensive line chemistry. It takes time to gell up front and they were on their 3rd combo in 3 weeks last night.
Honestly an incredible throw. Best of JJ's career? I say yes.

You?
Wing would be the leader in the All America conversation. He is really good.
Patience tiger fans. You commit to the run for 2 yards in the 1st quarter so that your runs in the 4th are for 20. Never forget football is a game of attrition. Fundamentally. Quick strikes are great and build momentum. But power is king.
Did you know the field judge made the TD call?

Thanks Tigervision!
Will Blackwell should challenge for 1st team all sec. He is really playing well.

Oh yeah, and Lee looks accurate.
Again - just mute the sound. It's irrelevant.

I am currently enjoying the Tigers and the Allman Brothers Eat a Peach.

This is a good Sat. night.
I have actually muted the Espn3 and put on some good tunes. Quite enjoyable.

It wouldn't surprise me if they do away with permanent opponents. ETA: I mean permanent opponets in the other division obviously.

There will always be permanent opponents. It was in the original deal -- the charter if you will - that split the conference. Auburn v. Georgia and Tennessee v. Alabama are the reasons we have the permanent opponent from the other division. LSU - UF came about because they were the next two programs with the highest winning percentage after those previous 4. Historically, those 6 teams have dominated the SEC. The SEC, no matter how large it gets will not do away with these match- ups. LSU - UF is one of the three marquee match-ups in the league now.
It should. No argument in fact. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't understand his place in LSU or SEC record books and is forgetting his effect on the program. He was the most important player and recruit for an entire decade. Absolutely all time great Tiger.
Your only shot is different rooms, different TV's.

Actually - the notion that TCU can pay someone whatever they want to or whatever they want is true. Among endowments in the USA, TCU is big time. They honestly have billions. State government mad money.
I remember an interview somewhere Miles gave, about talking to Bo about LSU, calling his mentor before taking the job. Bo told him it would be chance to make his mark, do his own thing, build something of his own. I think that matters to Miles.

If he leaves it won't be for money. It'll be to leave a new home and go back to an old one. Can't ever fault a man for that.

You remember correctly.

The team was ranked 6th in the pre-season and the wheels totally came off.

Faulk's 1998 stats were incredible: LINK

He averaged 191 yards a game in AP yards and still led the SEC in rushing! Even though the team was 2 - 6 in conference, and 4-7 overall. He was 3rd in the NCAA in yards on a losing team.

I still "blame" Lou Tepper for that debacle of a season and the next. The defense just couldn't get off the field. That is why I never complain about Chavis - I didn't even complain about MalVeto (even though they scared me) -- because I remember Tepper.

I know Cannon won the Heisman, but I have a hard time not believing Faulk is LSU's greatest offensive player ever. It's a short list, though. He was truly a special college player and an all-time great Tiger.

LSU Hall of Fame.
He'll be in the Patriots Hall of Fame, I think if he can recover and play one more season, maybe two.
As we have been saying, they should retire his number.
Yes, I have heard of Billy Cannon. So have you.

Faulk's place in LSU record books is unequaled. And, if LSU had been in a national championship or SEC championship mode, had the program not suffered for so long in Hallman's years, Faulk well might have won or competed for a Heisman.

Though Scott is "newer" to SEC honors, Kevin Faulk was the most significant tiger of the 1990's, and is the finest back in LSU History.

Yes, when his NFL career is finished (he will have as many as 3 Superbowl rings and maybe 4 or more) his number at LSU should be retired.

He also might have been the most important recruit in modern LSU football history.
My father in law is in the Athletic Hall of Fame at Ohio State, so we go up there with some regularity -- I think their facilities are awesome on the whole. Not as "close" as LSU's. Also, Northern teams have a harder time with baseball than sun-belt team, but with this exception, tOSU is a great set of athletic facilities.
