The Thunderhorse field produces +200k bpd, anyone know how much the Thunderhorse platform produces itself?

Backgounder on THorse...
LINK
Detailed flow info here...
LINK
Keep in mind that TH's wells are all properly completed with production strings, stim'ed, frac'ed, and flow into properly backpressured separation systems. Each greatly optimizing and increasing the flow of the well.

That platform is amazing, like being in a small city.

I think we should give the USCG a big round of applause for shearing off the riser instead of taking the time to make a clean cut.
I could be wrong, but I think I detect a hint of sarcasm here.

For the USCG fools that made this call!!

Yea there was all sorts of sarcasm there. Funny enough, I can't find anything on the internet now about them making that call. I distinctly remember reading on BP's site and I think NOLA.com that they made the call.

Does anybody have a clue what they are trying to do with Poseidon 1 and pipe that they aappear to be trying to unbolt?

I wonder why all of a sudden more cameras are up and running?

So been bust lately, whats the latest, last I heard they were putting the LMRP on. Is it working, did it make things worse or better?
Thanks
Thanks

Are they still injecting methanol through the C/K lines?
Are they trying to find the optimal mix between methanol injection and Tophat valve containment?
If hydrate crystals form...are they screwed in regards to topwater extraction? Can they increase the methanol infusion, dissolve the "ice" and go back to a free flow?
BTW, I came over here as a member of dawgrant.com. I knew nothing about drilling and I've learned a lot from the posters that have actually worked in this field. I also appreciate the admins. for keeping the subject on track.

Viking Poseidon I is trying to hook up something. Anyone know what it might be?

He's trying to unscrew a bolt, but the socket looks too small. This is the 2nd socket they've tried, must be a metric bolt

I'm just as lost as everyone else on what's happening. Things have gone really quite since the installation of the Top Hat. That's probably not a good sign.

They are giving an update on the BP website where you look at the individual cameras:
" Subsea operational update:
• In order to maximize the amount of oil and gas being collected, engineering and operations teams continue to optimize the choke valve settings on the surface, overall systems pressures and valves on the LMRP cap.
• Daily oil collection will be maximized through maintaining a stable system.
• Both production trains for processing oil at the surface are in operation.
• We may leave some of the LMRP cap valves open to ensure system stability - one is currently closed.
The next update will be provided at 9:00am CDT on June 7, 2010."

I guess there has been no progress on trying to capture oil from the kill / choke lines to the Q4000 vessel? I haven't seen any updates on that part or paid enough attention the past couple of days to see if they have been connecting lines.

ALSO what are the updates on Costner's machine. Seems like BP took em on a test run and they were never heard about again.
