It's setting up the Dish Network so they can get CST this weekend and watch the LSU baseball games.

Enterprise 2 only took a few minutes to reach the Tophat from the BOP so they are not very far from each other.

I think the BP folks are looking at it wondering WTF also, I would think all the mud had been pushed back out a long time ago

It has always appeared this way. The leak from the kink has always appeared brown whereas the leak from the end of the riser has always appeared darker.

Tigerdroppings website needs to be redesigned to look like an excel spreadsheet so I can read this stuff all day long.

I've noticed it for awhile, just hadn't seen anyone mention/explain it. But it sure looks like 2 distinct/different fluids
Posted on 6/3/10 at 4:39 pm to Sid in Lakeshore
it didn't appear that way about half an hour ago

The lighter color is mixed with natural gas would be my guess.

And I hope someone is turning in the spill report on that MeOH or glycol thats leaking. I spill one drop of that where I work and I'm filling out paperwork for a month

It was my understanding that they were going to pump mud into the well to try to decrease the pressure before placing the top hat.

That may be what this is. But how much can they reduce the pressure with a free flow at the top of the stack? How much is a 30 foot column of mud going to do for you?
