They do. There's a sling holding up the pipe between here and the other cut. When they cut through, it will probably rise instead of fall.

Question: Is that oil that appears to be coming from below the flange area where they are cutting coming from the peviously cut smaller lines? I thought the only real leaks were in the riser at the crimped/bent over area and of course at the end where it was free flowing.
Is that oil flowing from someplace below those points? Confused...

ETA: Nevermind - It appears to be coming fom the cut itself.

Since about 830, I think.

I would assume they have another diamond saw set up and ready to go so in case they break a blade they can just jump another ROV and bring this one up and change it out. Anybody know?

Anyone know how much torque is involved removing those bolts? Could an air hammer mounted on the BOP remove them?

Stupid question time. Under normal situations where the well is cemented and the drilling rig moves off, how do they unbolt the riser from the top of the BOP?

Looks like they're running ahead of their schedule. Any chance that containment cap is going on some time tonight?

I was afraid of that. Get'er done!

Just saw a close up with the blade for a minute or so. 20 - 30% so far looks about right from what I can tell. At this rate it will be another 6 - 7 hours or so if the diamond wire holds up (fingers crossed).
