The city hired the Dallas-based company for risk assessment, surveillance, intelligence gathering and extra security at three of the Confederate monument sites, as the Landrieu administration prepared to remove the monuments.
No company in New Orleans or Louisiana could have done this work?
Way to support local business and economy Mitch!

I have training and experience in intel analysis and ops planning from my former life and can decipher some of this:
This is fancy talk for having someone read the paper, watch TV, look at FaceBook and Twitter and most likely this board. Then write a report regurgitating what they saw. They monitored media for .5 weeks (so 3.5 days).
They charged $5,000 for that. Holeee shite.

City leaders say the invoices are purposefully vague. "Because of some of the particulars involved and some of the locations, some of the number of individuals involved in these things, we don't want to put anyone at risk," Miller tells us. "And so, some of these invoices contain what we believe to be the appropriate level of information. And we verified it through our meetings with them, through the discussions that we've had in the threat analysis and through receiving... sort of the risk information that they provided to us. "

Not saying it is right method of business; but prepaying for services is not uncommon. Off the services aren't performed, a refund is issued.

Those look pretty damn fake. That being said, TRG is out of Texas, so the sales tax rate is going to be off when it's not charged.
It makes zero sense to code LA+Orleans sales tax into the system when you're not charging.

Rumor has it Zurik's wife works for he mayor's office. If this is true, I expect the story to die here. He's probably already getting threats to withhold the punnany.

Absolutely. Gay as frick. I hate that summbitch

Unfortunately, this investigation will go nowhere. If the investigators have anything to do with the corrupt state government, then we know that no one will be found guilty of corruption. Over $700,000 for "security" and NOLA has its own police force. What a joke.

"A" penis? That dude wins the hot dog eating contest every time! He is creepy AF!

Jennifer Zurik worked for the New Orleans Building Corporation as Project Manager.
Did Cummings get pissed over the Monument deal with Landrieu?
And speaking of Ryan Berni--is his mother Kathleen Berni of Encore Insurance & Bonding Inc? Check out Federal Insurance Company

quote:Dude, this is New Orleans. The Firemen's Retirement fund has been in arrears since 1978! They had to put this mayor under house-arrest (on weekends only) just to get SOME KIND of restitution plan going as ordered by the court.

Over the years it's been asserted that most lawsuit judgement, even IF they get paid, are often ten years or more overdue. Yet, suddenly, the city and that foundation are pre-paying for services???
And no, to the other poster, no one in New Orleans wanted to touch this issue which is why a significant percentage of NOPD were distracted and detailed to these "projects" and NOFD actually did the work.

So all of these invoices are dated before 5/19 when Lee was removed. Also, the support services appear to be billed may 8-May14, and Bob recorded 83 hours in this 7 day period.
The act of all of this may have screamed progressive, but this still the same old dirty Louisiana politics, lining someone's pockets.
