Take out as many loans as I can. Max out all my credit cards on MREs, ham radio, ammo, water, a 450cc dirtbike, CForce 1000 Overland ATV, and URO VAMTAC (armored, amphibious SUV) with a nice trailer to haul my shite in. Find a way to buy prescription medication to last at least 1 year illegally. Blood pressure meds, oral insulin, antibiotics, etc. At least $25,000 in gold bullion. Both the meds and gold are for trading. Drive down to my folks place in the middle of nowhere southern MS., board up the barn and house. Wait.

Going to mountains in Montana, Idaho, or Wyoming.

You live with wife and kids alone on 100 acres you bought and planted food and have live stock. 1,000 roaming gang of people are starving and they attack you. Take you live stock, take your stored food, and kill you. They have guns also and are starving and have to be feed 2 times a day. This happens over and and over because only 20% planned and grow crops and have livestock. It’s the only food around. You won’t last long no matter what macho bravo you think you have. Best bet is to live in swamp and live off stuff caught in water daily. If you’re not willing to join a gang that will kill indiscriminately now, you won’t when it happens. Lone wolves won’t make it. 80% are looking for food daily. It will be ugly. You’re not Rambo, even though you watch it 5,000 times. Good luck.

Load up on weapons and non-perishables, go to an island that isn't densely populated. The Maldives, Bali. Something like that. As long as it's not an EMP situation, I should be able to still travel. I would need to get alot of gas and a seaplane and some boats, but I imagine that would be doable if I get in good with a group of locals.
