I just got the live Periscope alert for that twat Jeff who is covering winter weather today. Better hurry before he is covered up with 30ft of snow 20 minutes from now.

Exactly what I did yesterday. I ate some salty stuff and I felt better.

It seems like so many want the BR area to get hammered and I kinda get the desire for the excitement
That kind of excitement I can do without. Hell, I still have tree debris on the street from Delta that hasn't been picked up yet.

Now I understand why LP is closing schools early tomorrow...

You sure you're not confusing Stormcast with Storm2k? I hear that Storm2k is full of Houston folks wishcasting all the time but I only visit the OT and Stormcast.

Yep. My bad.

We literally have this school closure discussion every single storm & at least 3 times in the last 6 weeks.

You can go ahead and bank that anything hitting LA, will prompt school closures.

National Weather Service LINK

Type in zip code or town name. When you get to the forecast page, select "Hourly Weather Forecast" under More Information. That will take you to the graphs. You can filter which ones you want to see by selecting the checkmarks. You can run your cursor along the bottom of the graph, and it will tell you the time, wind speed, and gusts.

I just discovered these this morning.

Gustav in Baton Rouge was apparently worse than Andrew in Golden Meadow south of the floodgates from what I gather

.

Haven’t been out yet today.

Sunday we fished the Mississippi River at 81 mile Point across from Donaldsonvile.

We moved around looking for them on the fish finder and caught about forty. About eight or nine of them were over 25#’s and a coupleor three at 35#. Rest were a mix of 15lbs down to two. Sixty to forty feet deep.
