After Gustav in South Baton Rouge, I was out of power for 12 days. I would use that as a reference.

That was crazy. We never lost power in highland creek. My buddy lived across highland in wildwood and they didn't have power for 2 weeks

About a 10 mile drive to work here the north Atlanta burbs. My first 2 normal routes were blocked. Ok the unblocked route there were a lot of trees in power lines. It’s a mess

At the time, I was in Woodridge behind Price Leblanc off Pecue. It was the feeder line damage that took so long to repair. If the feeder lines get knocked down, you better have a couple of generators.

took about an hour and a 1/2, but i cleared all the debris from the road into our apartments so people can get in and out.

looked out the back and saw a big pine dropped, but missed our building

Still no power in Dulac

don't know how far down, but there is power at the Thompson Rd. light and as far down as you can see from that intersection.

the Chauvin half of Woodlawn is out though.
and everything from that light all the way down both Lil Caillou and Montegut are down as well.

Looks like the majority of Mandeville south of 12 and east of causeway has no power. Not a single Cleco or WSTE truck in sight. I hear water pressure is also very low.

Any word on Entergy trucks in Orleans?

They are working. I’m in Old Metairie, but my power came back on shortly after midnight

Where in Old Metairie are you? We are at my parents house in Baton Rouge and live on Jefferson off of Metairie Road. The Entergy map shows the entire area without power still both sides of the tracks.

THis mother fricker is in Georgia and still a strong TS.

My dad works in the black belt region of Alabama and he says it’s wrecked. Poles and trees snapped everywhere and laying across the highways, farms shops blown away, catfish farm feed bins toppled. This storm looks to have the most widespread major damage of any so far this year

I saw the parking deck at golden nugget was flooding. How’s the rest of town?

How in the frick is this storm still strengthening? This motherfricker really was sentient.

I don’t know how to really explain it but it seems there is a very specific sweet spot a storm can hit where it interacts with a front but avoids the shear and the front somewhat keeps the storm fueled over land for a bit so it weakens very slowly.
