Yeah I’m watching a feed from the Port Commission and shite is blowing. It’s about a 2 minute walk from my grandparent’s house and they told me it’s blowing hard but power is still kicking.

Honestly a place like Harrahs is probably pretty safe during a hurricane

I'm still with power somehow but surely will be losing it soon. It is really blowing now. Probably 50 ish

Power is down in Chalmette already
Posted on 10/28/20 at 4:05 pm to deltaland
Probably one of the safest places in the city, considering its age and size in relation to just about everything nearby

Poor area of uptown. To be expected.

Just for reference for anyone on here, directly where the eye made landfall in Terrebonne parish, there used to be a luxurious hotel in the 1800s. The island is extremely small comparatively now, but it was sprawling and got wiped out by a huge Cat 5 hurricane. Book is Last Days of Last Island if anyone is interested

I dont believe that. Port Fourchon has yet to have sustained winds in the 70s. They are almost out of the wall.

Friends,
Blustery though it may be, this tempest’s forward speed will likely not make it memorable enough for TulaneLSU’s Top 10 weather memories. May God’s blessing forever rest over us.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Seriously man? After the pleasantries I’ve extended to you recently, this is how you wanna be?
You're right. I'm pissed that so many have been taking this so lightly and I took it out on you. My apologies.

Man down!!! That didn’t last long. They also have their sign entangled in the overhead door chain. Shits getting wild.
