Watching HTV is like reading a down the bayou version of this thread.

“Mais Martin, I got a question about da weathuh. How bad it’s gonna get in Chackbay? And if I leave for muh momma’s in Choupique at 7 will I be all right?”

Okay, entire frozen pizza has been consumed. I now plan to hibernate until this passes. Wife and kids can fend for themselves.

Everybody needs to cut Slack some slack. He's mostly good at these things and his contributions to this thread would be appreciated by most.

Am I allowed to go steal the lumber at my neighbors house that is under construction and has just been left there?

Yep at 10:00 am they forecast 90, and now four hours later it’s 105 and intensifying.

At 10am they forecast winds of 90mph for 10pm when the storm is inland.

They specifically talked about the storm having a few hours more to intensify from 10am.

For those wondering what type of wind gusts you might feel, the HRRR was spot on for Delta.

Note that this is measured in knots. As a blanket statement, if you are in yellow or brown, its gonna be wild.

NOLA and Northshore are going to make out better than if it took a path 10 - 20 miles to the West

With Nola and the northshore already being on the West side of the track, explain why a 10-20 mile further west path would be beneficial? That would put the strongest eye wall winds directly in their path

Just saw a radar estimated 131mph wind in the eastern eyewall. Of course, that’s not at the surface, but still it indicates a strengthening hurricane.
