Going to be an awkward room.

My first serious girlfriend over 40 years ago dumped me and went out with my best friend for the next 2 years until her family moved. We didn’t argue about it; she just started dating him and so I stopped talking to her. Totally not a single word - ignored her like she didn’t exist…really petty BS. A mutual friend told me the girl confided in her that she was bummed out about moving but was really regretful how our friendship ended and wanted to resolve it before she moved but I didn’t take any action and she moved away.

Over the years, I’ve regretted how I acted and have gone through an apology in my head many times. A couple of years ago, the same mutual friend told me the girl died in an accident. I’ll never be able to apologize.

Obviously family. Otherwise, I’d find Frank Maraist. And Scalia. Also look up a childhood buddy of mine. We were born the same week, but he was killed in a motorcycle accident a decade ago. And, a cousin whose husband had her killed. OTOH, I knew her husband too, so that’d be slightly awkward if Angola let him be there.
