The kitchen is an intoxicated / high xmas eve rite of passage for any dad.

Yep. Had to put together the kitchen about 10 years ago. I severely underestimated the work and ended have to spend 3 hours in the middle of the night, drunk from Christmas Eve dinner, putting it together. I was not happy then, but enjoy it. Santa is fading fast with my kids getting older.

Now I’ve transitioned to putting together cheap, Chinese shite my wife orders from Amazon. Had the annual fight yesterday telling her not to buy that flimsy shite anymore. It fell apart while putting it together and, of course, it was my fault

Sometimes the stickers that have to be put on something like a kitchen can be tough if there are hundreds.

Hardest ever was a large trampoline with enclosure with freezing weather outside.

Swing set. Basic old school swing set. Had to fight the freezing weather AND F-I-L who wanted to freestyle assemble. I don't think he ever figured out the bags of nuts/bolts were pre sorted for the different parts of the set.

About ten years ago my wife informed me around midnight on Christmas Eve that I needed to assemble my youngest daughter's Barbie Dream House. I'd been drinking for about six hours at that point and she neglected to mention this to me at any point in the evening. It goes without saying there were some construction issues with that particular Dream House. The elevator never worked, there were some doors missing, significant number of 'extra' parts, etc. I don't think that house would have passed inspection.

If you had gone into this without a power screwdriver, i would have shock my head in disappointment.

Using the BS ones they give you is a quick way to piss yourself off

This year I have 2 beds, a desk, and a ride on toy to assemble.

I'll be ready to fly to China and bitch slap Bing in his 12 year old face.

I've successfully convinced my wife we have a trampoline exclusion in our homeowners policy.

Never have to worry about that.

Does delivering for FedEx those trampolines and trucks count? They take up space in my truck and are heavy. I’ve been dropping them off at the garage. I’m a deliverer, not a mover lol

My daughter in graduate school wanted one of those adjustable barbell/dumbbell sets because her research does not let her have time for the gym. I just hurt my back bringing it in and felt bad for the driver as our street is underconstruction and it is hard to get here with a dolly.

Complex Lego sets for a 6 year after opening wrapped box, because my kid is the smartest ever, even though the box said ages 12+. Learned my lesson, am not as smart as a 12 year old Lego expert.

Yep. A trampoline is mere child's play next to a legit massive swing set
