May make this my annual live stream. My kids are 2 and 3. I have a long way to go.
Currently I have a jillion part kitchen and a ride on monster truck.
Pro-Tip...invest in an electric screwdriver. Has made this whole deal much more enjoyable.

Kitchen for my daughter about 11 years ago. Whoever designed that POS needs an asswhipping.

My parents got my son on of those balsa wood robot things. I’d rather change a heater core than ever put another one of those together. My finger tips were almost bleeding.

A big arse KidKraft wood toy kitchen.
I didn’t put it together before Christmas- just brought the pieces in and layed it under the tree with a pic of what it is. I put it together Christmas Day while the family was eating at the in laws. Gave me a good excuse to avoid them, drink scotch and jam out to some tunes during assembly.

I’ve got a large gas grill with stainless cabinet to put together. Should be fun. I’ve put this model together before and it was more intermediate than beginner level, but I enjoy these projects.

Tried to put a trampoline together by myself in the dark one year. I was about an hour in with trying to use plyers to pull the springs to the frame. Then figure out they had included a little tool in the box for this purpose.

All my kids are grown but definitely don't miss putting bikes or other stuff together until midnight and then waking up at 5 am with young kids bouncing off the walls.

The play kitchen assembly is an all time life trial.

Some kid in rural china has a 3/8” x 5 1/2” bolt in his pocket and a wry grin on his face.

I always figured Engineers that could do, are doing.
Engineers who can't design toy kitchens.

Got a universal gym set with multiple complex pulley systems as a young teen. Dad and I worked on putting that together for over a week.

A playground..whole thing...tower, slide, rock wall, 3 swings.
Reached out to a neighbor that either loves shite like that or hates his wife...not sure which. He said he'd assemble the whole thing for $175. Best money I ever spent.

When I was a kid, one year the thing everyone was getting were these high end remote control cars that you had to put together with a million pieces.
My dad wouldn’t get it for me cause he didn’t want to put it together. I’m 49 and will never forget.
Of course everyone used it for about three months then stopped.

I only buy shite like that on Facebook marketplace, not to save money but to not have to assemble anything. Let someone else do the tedious part and your kid stops playing with it in 3 months anyway

About 40years ago, had 3 bicycles, playhouse, train set, etc to put together. Plan was to assemble after. a Christmas Eve party when kids would be in bed. Drinking a bit had trouble selecting a flat head or Philips screw driver. Made a mess that took till 300 am to fix. Wife was pissed.
