Maybe I hold the superbowl halftime show to a high standard, but the above is honestly how I gauge music and weed out the crap of today vs actual good music

when the NFL used their PR and talent coordinators the show was representative of the host city, had some some connection to history and had some positive message
then they went for Rock and Roll HOF checklist
then they went for spectacle
now that JayZ is in charge it is just the biggest act in the music business they can get that they want
