High blood pressure?
I went in the hospital in December. My kidneys shut down and my bp shot to 280/160. Getting better now that I'm on meds. But then this stupid batbug.
My big fear is a stroke though. So I gave up salt and dropped 50 pounds. Since December.

Know exactly how you feel. Lost my left side, short term memory, ability to talk, and control over my emotions due to a stroke in 2016. Took me almost 6 months to be able to walk normally again and I got back most of my left side back with lots of work by lots of good people.
I can talk mostly normal too due to to those same people. The other stuff is pretty much gone forever. I’m just thankful that they got to the clot in my brain soon enough to save me.
It’s a long road, owlfan. But it can be literally walked. Depends on how much damage was done and how hard you can work.
Hang in there man.

Sounds like yours was similar to mine. Some of the smaller clots got to places in my brain that they just couldn’t do anything about. I’ll take it though. Gladly.
It was ICU for 2 weeks and straight from there to inpatient rehab for a month. I came to hate a fricking wheelchair. So I worked hard. Hell the only things that I wanted to do again was be able to talk clearly, swing a golf club, and eat solid food without choking.
It takes time, man. Truly. Be patient. I wasn’t. I became very frustrated with myself and everyone around me. Don’t be me.
In spite of it all I worked my arse off. Every day. Goals. I reached mine.
I truly wish you well.
