It was said in a very tongue & cheek way but all very true. They are stay at home mom's. Don't hate.

I'm sure cook dinner isn't on any list, but picking up takeout from zea's is. The modern housewife is in a sad state.

wife that doesn't work

So you are saying that maintaining household and/or raising kid(s) is not work?

I don't have kids and we share house work. The only reason she's not working is because she's in professional school.

You couldn't be more wrong. My friends are all health nuts and enjoy making dinner for their families. I cooked all the time when I had my son at home.

One of my friends is getting seat time as a Le Mans driver. Can't think of a better job than that. High 6 figs, 22, tons of girls, sponsors... the life

I've never really had friends since Jr high... Don't know why.. My wife has friends and we chill with them sometimes but I've never had someone I'd consider a friend or best friend since Jr high.. I guess I work too much and use the time I have to spend mostly with my wife and 5(about to be 6)kids when I am at home..

Does not having friends make me a loser? I don't feel that way.. Hmm.. Maybe I should delete this.. Lol.. Some deep shite here..

Bragging about staying home, playing tennis and hanging out with friends while your husband or ex husband is out providing for you is pathetic.

Bragging about it... why yes., that is pathetic

Buddy went to Harvard Law...graduated early. Got a 200k+ salary up in Chicago working for some firm up there.

Would I trade with him? No, you couldn't pay me to live in that weather.

Have a friend who does some combination of lobbying/PR/brand rep for a major firearm manufacturer.

He just goes to events all the time, hangs out around the Hill, and about every other month is sent for some 2 week excursion to fly fish New Zealand or hunt in Argentina, etc.

I've got a friend who does that for the energy sector. He actually has to put in a lot of hours of hard work but a lot of times he's just shooting the shite with a bunch of oil tycoons and utility executives around DC.

A guy I used to hunt with/play little league baseball with has some kind of video coordinator job with the Oklahoma City Thunder's broadcast team. He formerly worked for the Hornets, and when the Sonics relocated there from Seattle, they were told of his work for the Hornets when they relocated temporarily to Oklahoma City due to Katrina and made an offer to him and he took it. He told me he makes quite a bit of money and gets to travel with the team. He said when they go on the road, they have a production meeting in the morning, he lays out the plan for the game. Then for like the next 8 hours or so until he needs to report to the arena, the day is his to do whatever he wants.
