1982 working for Bud Moore Engineering as a gopher/janitor/anything they told me for $3.35 an hour. If you have ever seen one of Dale Earnhardt's 1982/83 Wrangler cars or Ricky Rudd's 84/85 cars I had a tiny little part in them.

Most every penny of the money I made went right into the engine and car parts. Mr. Moore became like a second father to me and I visited several times a year up until he died about 2 years ago in his 90s.

Lifeguard.

I don't remember, whatever minimum wage was.

It sucked. Baywatch is a very inaccurate depiction of lifeguarding.

1999. $5.15 an hour at North Park in Denham.mowing, weedeating, prepping baseball fields.

Any time an attractive female was walking at the track, you'd hear "the trash needs to be dumped at the track" over the radio and 7 employee golf carts would show up.

Worked in the centroplex parking garage during events for 4.25 an hour in 1994. That was a boring job.

6.00/hr at Blue Bayou watching babes all day.

So by the time you take out the males, children, fatties and uglies, you were barely Workin for that 6/hr. Not bad.

Mine was about 6.25 I think at McDonald's in 2003 or so. Bumped up to $8.00 in 2005 when I made it to management at age 17. The bonus was since I was in charge I could put the hot chicks in front with me and the other dudes trying to pick up said chicks in the back. Made competition minimal.

1995... I think

4.15/hr at a state park. 2 weeks in the state gave COL wage increases to everyone... then it was 4.30!

Unloading seed and fertilizer. Like 12 tons a day. Put on pallet then drive forklift into warehouse. Hit the roll up door on first day. Worked a month to pay it off. I think it was 3.50 per hour, about 50 yours a week.

He asked me if I could drive a forklift, I said I could. I could not.

Also found out what it was like to be a 16 year old on a crew of an old Mexican and a young pile of shite redneck. I had to do like 97% of the work the entire summer.

1980 Paper route, not hourly, made about 120 a month, saved up to buy a Honda Express to deliver my papers. Was balancing a checkbook and filing taxes at 12 years old.
