Fun Fair Park. 1977. $1.50/HR

I worked at FFP around this time. Summertime, 10-12 hour days, 6 days per week. Minimum wage was $2.10 and they paid $2.00, with no O/T after 40. Making $140 per week was baller money for a kid.

Piggly Wiggly, Bag Boy, 1990 minimum wage

It was the first time I saw the abuse of entitlement programs. I brought groceries out to a brand new Caddy after the lady brought two baskets full of meat using food stamps.

Seriously?

in kentucky that year you could get a gallon of gas or a pack of cigarettes for that.

My first jobs were all mowing lawns and putting in flowers and watering.
Latino adilts do it now. I started at 12.
