I'm not a multi millionaire, but I also don't thrift shop.

I haggle with white people and Mexicans at neighborhood rummage sales.

Found a vintage Rolling Stones tour t-shirt for $1, sold it for $50 on eBay.
Damn, how old was it?

Must have been sitting in someone's drawer for many years. T-shirts normally don't survive that long if worn regularly.

It’s disgusting that y’all shop there and take things from the less fortunate

I purchased Bert Jones' LSU letterman jacket (or it could have been his brother's) from a guy that bought it at a thrift store.

At the time, I didn't know the guy, we are acquaintances now, and I was afraid it was stolen. I contacted Bert Jones and he said sure enough, his wife did spring cleaning and got rid of it. Plus, he found his LSU letterman blanket folded up in the dog pen.

Mr Jones just happened to be coming to BR for a benefit dinner at Ruffino's a couple days later, so I met him there and sold it back to him for what I paid for it ($200). I had three people offer me $1000+ for it.

He did invite me to come to the $100 plate dinner, but I was under dressed and declined.

I did find a LSU hat signed by the entire 2000 LSU baseball team at a thrift store.

I like to search the books, looking for 1st editions/autographed books

If we are talking garage sales and estate sales as well, I could write a book on great finds.

My two favorite finds (that I can think of) were a mini basketball given away a Pete Maravich's last LSU home game. It was signed by him and his dad. I paid $1. The other is Coach Pop Strange's watches from two Sugar Bowls in the 60's and his watch from the Bluebonnet Bowl. I contacted his family and found out they were stolen back in the 70's. I got them back to them family via the estate sale company, and his son, Dr David Strange gave me the 68 Sugar Bowl watch.

A bunch of designer Van Heusen shirts and ties. The guy was selling the button downs for $15 each and the ties for $8-10 each. Racked up!

My wife donated a kidney this past Thursday if you'd like to stand right here behind me. Thanks.

Wife paid $7 for an empty Louis XIII bottle at an antique type store in Lake Charles. Didn’t realize what she had until she showed it to me. They sale anywhere from $300+ online.
