Are we though? College kids have protested for over 50 years. The only difference is that our generation doesn't have any real, tangible or traditional problems to address.
Think about it for a minute - there are white kids across the country that are jonesing for a movement or cause so bad that they'll go to minorities and tell them they're not upset enough with their situation, so us whiteys will be upset for you.
This is actually Exhibit A as to why we still live in the greatest country on this planet.

What are all those white people doing there? Don't they realize their presence further marginalizes the ALREADY marginalized MINORITY groups, that their presence only DIMINISHES the voice of the MINORITY groups. Most of my classes were in HSS, but I was generally coming in from the other side. I would have just waded through them. They built a shanty town in the courtyard outside there when I was in school to try to protest UT being invested in companies who had dealings in S Africa. We called the the people "Shacks" after that and made sport of them to their faces. Lots of white kids with dreadlocks, drug rugs and very poor hygiene. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Oh, and there aren't many black and brown people protesting because there aren't very many there. Out of around 18,000 enrolled, around 1600 are black. Around 3,000 minorities total.
