I didn't want an actual answer. I just wanted to call the OP a pussy.

You can always tell the insecure "I've never been out of Louisiana and fear the unknown" posters.

They're always the ones that's like... "well.. uhhh... don't come back den... see if we keer."

This state absolutely sucks. If you can't see that, you haven't traveled outside of the south. It's the same group of idiots that defended O hire, elects corrupt politicians, and refuses to consider other means of economic prosperity than oil and gas. We are a very very dumb state.

I think it's funny how everyone around here says "Oh why don't the Syrian refugees fight for their country and make it better instead of running away to already developed nations" but so many people leave Louisiana because it's just so bad and then they talk about how stupid all the people still in Louisiana are.

That's not even a comparison. There are rebels fighting for their country in Syrian, but al-Assad is bombing the shite out of civilians and there are people leaving because its a matter of life or death.

If you stay in Louisiana you don't run the risk of the Governor bombing your neighborhood or anything, but will there ever be more than the "status quo" in Louisiana? Yes, there are good jobs here, but when you look at it from a "in general" view.. Are more jobs being created? If someone graduates in...... lets say marketing, from college. Are they more likely to find a job in Louisiana? No, because there are other states that have more industry that creates jobs geared towards marketing.

In Louisiana, if you are not an engineer, plant operator or any type of plant related job, in the medical profession or a lawyer.. what else is there? People leave for opportunity.

I haven't any problems navigating the roundabout and haven't really seen any others have too much issue. But I'm not in LC very often these days.

If LC could just get Uber, it'd be a top-notch place. Plenty to do if you look for it.

If I could make the same money in LC as I do in Dallas, I'd come back in a heartbeat. But there isn't really the demand for white-collar workers, so I'll probably never come back.

That's a problem most everywhere.

3. Is there anything entertaining around here besides sitting at a bar drinking? Anything?

Lots. There's concerts, festivals, movie theaters, bowling alleys, plays, brewery tours, museums, hunting, fishing, boating, seriously. Baton Rouge is pretty dead when school is out, that's for sure.

4. I'm drunk. What I do now? Wait for an Uber and pay $30 to get home? Transportation around here is terrible.

Literally the case in every non-major city. Not the case in New Orleans if you live near the streetcar, though. You should be thankful for uber because otherwise, with yellowcab, you might never get home. Also, if you were really desperate, CATS runs everywhere, they're just unreliable and slow as shite.

5. A good job to most folks is one that pays $12 a hour.

Low cost of living means a single man with no kids making that can actually live a decent life style. That's a good thing.

6. The biggest professional industry is personal injury and divorce lawyers.

Not true. That's actually petrochemicals and oil and gas operators and engineers. There are way too many personal injury lawyers, though.

How is that a bad thing? You'd rather it be 20 below with an ice storm. It feels awesome outside.
