are you under the impression that they woke up one day and landed on the moon? It was a series of like 30 missions over the span of over a decade
It was anything but flawless
stuck the landing no pun intended on the very first attempt.

I'm just asking folks to go on record that 60 years later, do we think we can do that again successfully on our next attempt if and when?

If the next ship lands upside down killing the crew, can't blast off the moon successfully, misses the orbiting ship, runs out of gas, flies into the sun or implodes due to a leak will we just all shrug our shoulders and say "we were just that good those 9 other times"

A decade. And yet man hasn't been out of orbit in over 50 decades. Make that make sense.

Yeah that's logical. We may crash so there's no way they could not have crashed.

Besides ever since Obama infested NASA with DEI and Muslim out reach ordersl Probably will crash.

You are the idiot if you believe there was a phone call from the moon by the Astronauts to the President after the dune buggy ride.

It was transmitted by radio moron. explain to me one single reason why the moon landing was impossible. Oh , and provide a link please...

Did apollo 13 not happen? Or apollo 1 testing? Pretending their hasn't been a steep learning curve is interesting.

In 40 years flat the colossal frick up of an intermediate range nuke, the thor pgm-17, went from disaster to multiple rovers safely delivered to mars.

Nobody died during any space flight

1967, we lost 3 astronauts on the launch pad during a launch rehearsal accident for Apollo I when a fire broke out in the cabin. They didn’t even make it into space.

In 1967, the Russians lost a cosmonaut during testing of their Soyuz 1 rocket, when the parachute on the module failed to deploy after re-entry.

In 1971, 3 Russians died during re-entry coming back after a 22-day mission to the first space station due to depressurization of their capsule.

We lost 14 astronauts in 2 separate Space Shuttle disasters.

These incidents don’t even cover the larger number of training and testing accidents where people died.

interesting that you're dancing around the question and already coming up with reasons why it may happen this time around

I'll ask again: 60+ years on from 9 flawless moon visits do you think we can do it even once without a major problem this time?

from 9 successful moon landings and back to blowing up 14 people in what was essentially a glorified high altitude Concorde 15 years later.

Seems like the moon fantasy was already unraveling even that far back

Anyone posting in this thread should watch the movie Capricorn One.

Yup. OJ, Jack McCoy, Daddy Brolin and Hal Holebrook. Good movie, and a work of fiction.

That wasn’t an accident. That was to shut up Astronaut Gus Grissom after he hung a huge lemon on the lunar module and said “ how we supposed to go to the moon , when we can’t talk between two buildings “.

That guy would not have gone along with faking it

Speaking of fantasy, there were only 6 successful lunar landings it's amazing one side here continually fails at basic facts. A true credit to the lunar deniers
