I used to think that the flat earthers and moon landing deniers just liked to go down the rabbit holes as a weird sort of hobby but didn’t actually believe it.
It appears I was wrong.
Which is exaclty why I started this thread. Hopefully if enough denying idiots on here are exposed for how ridiculous they are, other deniers will at least start to see the light.

This USSR argument is literally the dumbest point you guys have. Let’s ignore the fvcking moon rocks we have and bring up some dumb elementary level hypothetical.
You think the same fools that deny it happened are gonna believe a piece of rock that's on display is from the moon?

Let's be honest about it. Petrified wood.

You mean Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong. In other words straight from NASA.

I just like the logic of people who say they believe we went because it would have been too difficult to fake.
So actually sending men to the moon in a toaster in 1969 would have been easier than faking it.
People tend to forget that there was no internet etc. in 1969, so your only source of information was from the mainstream media.
It was virtually impossible for a moon landing debunker to be widely heard in 1969.
I'm not saying we did or didn't go, but if you don't hold out at least a 1% chance that we didn't go then you aren't too bright.
At the end of WW2 we were still flying prop planes, and 24 years later we were putting men on the moon ?
That alone is enough to make you raise an eyebrow.
That combined with the fact that the government has a habit of lying to the public

Flawless perfection only mechanical toolshops can achieve!!

How do you suppose the Laser Ranging Retroreflectors made it to the lunar surface?

NASA astronaut Don Pettit did not personally destroy Moon technology; he stated in a 2016 interview that the technology and infrastructure to go to the Moon had been "destroyed" or dismantled over time. This comment has often been taken out of context by conspiracy theorists, but in reality, he was referring to the natural obsolescence and dismantling of the Apollo-era program and its specific manufacturing capabilities.
The Context of Pettit's Statement
In a video interview, Pettit expressed his desire to return to the Moon, but noted the challenges:
"The problem is we don't have the technology to do that anymore. We used to but we destroyed that technology and it's a painful process to build it back again".
The "destruction" or "loss" of technology he referred to relates to several practical and logistical factors:
Dismantled Infrastructure: After the Apollo program ended in the 1970s, the unique factories, assembly lines, and specialized tooling used to build the Saturn V rockets and Apollo spacecraft were shut down, repurposed, or scrapped.
Obsolete Components and Skills: The specific, often hand-built, components of the Apollo missions—such as the massive F-1 engines and magnetic-core computer memory—are no longer manufactured. The highly specialized engineering and manufacturing skills of the workforce also retired or passed away over the decades.
Budgetary Shifts: NASA's budget was a much larger percentage of the US federal budget during the peak of the Space Race in the 1960s than it has been since. The lack of sustained funding meant there was no reason to maintain the expensive infrastructure.
Technological Advancement: It makes little sense to replicate 1960s technology exactly when modern materials, computer systems, and manufacturing techniques (like 3D printing) offer better, safer, and more efficient solutions.
Pettit's statement was an acknowledgement that a new program would require building a new system from scratch with modern technology and infrastructure, which is a "painful process" involving significant investment and time, not that the knowledge of how to go to the Moon was erased. NASA is actively doing this now through the Artemis program which aims to return humans to the Moon using new systems like the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion capsule.
Again, if you have that technology, you usually sell it. You dont destroy it.

maybe they're worried someone might try to analyze them with current tech...
