The homeless epidemic is creating plague conditions in California, but don't address that. Go after skittles, plastic straws, outdoor grills, and combustible engines.

Why do these Marxist regulations exist at all?

Only acceptable food source also solves the homeless problem.

Blanketly hating every federal regulation is simple minded too.

The argument isn't about whether government should look to regulate the food industry. Of course they should, and you agree with that whether you know it or not. The argument is with the specific chemicals they are looking to ban.

I don't but you shouldn't have to read labels like a fricking tax return to not poison yourself.

BTW, I know why you and Roger only harp on the skittles and not the other items

Because its as ineffective regardless of what product the ingredients are in.

The FDA says those levels are safe, why do you trust some Jr lawmaker from the San Fernando valley over them?

Roger, why do you try so hard to act like an expert on everything when everyone knows you're not?

Speak intelligently on the chemicals at issue or admit you wouldn't know what to do with the information on the label even if you read it fully which we know you don't.

So you trust the FDA to the extent that it bothers you when a state goes above and beyond?

California has privacy laws that exceed the federal government's laws. Does that bother you?

Can you still taste the palpable smell of shite and cigarettes on every street corner though?

shite yes but they are trying to ban cigs too

quote:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Some California lawmakers want to eventually ban all tobacco sales in the nation’s most populous state, filing legislation to make it illegal to sell cigarettes and other products to anyone born after Jan. 1, 2007.

If signed into law, it would mean by 2073 people wanting to buy cigarettes would have to show ID to prove they are at least 67 years old.

“We can ensure that the next generation of children in California do not become addicted to smoking,” said Assemblymember Damon Connolly, a Democrat from San Rafael and the author of the bill.

The proposal is likely to face strong opposition from the tobacco industry, which would fight to maintain access to its largest U.S. market. If the ban were to become law, the industry could sue to block it. It could also challenge the ban at the ballot box, asking voters to stop it from taking effect.

“(The ban) will impact a lot of jobs and it will have a repercussion throughout the economy of California,” said Charles Janigian, president of the California Association of Retail Tobacconists.

No, it means I have no faith in this dweeb and the lobbyists who penned his legislation, even less than the FDA, which is a very low bar already.

These are political ploys for name recognition and do nothing to help people.

I’m not saying I support this initiative, however, there is a some serious bull shite they put in our food. I mean hell, just look at the label of a ketchup bottle from here and compare it to Europe.

This is true, and frankly the EU stuff tastes much better most of the time.

Nothing against this particular article, but dude all of your post are about the ills of the world. It has to be exhausting to have a constant focus on so many depressing news articles.

This doesn't make any sense.

I agree with this, however.

These are just emotional pandering type legislations that do nothing. Its an easy "win" for government.

Of course it doesnt. I'll dumb it down for you.

A legislator in the San Fernando Valley penned legislation banning stuff and he has as much credibility as a janitor at the FDA..

"I don't trust the FDA to establish valid regulations regarding food safety, so I'll disagree with anyone taking further steps for food safety than the people that I claim to already distrust" makes total sense

Thats a females version interpretation.

The real interpretation is he has no more information than the FDA, and TDs dweebs think he's right.

Of course simpletons think some random legislator from California knows more than supposed experts.
