He was the target of a lot of bullying and abuse—literally Sean was a joke in the locker room, home, and amongst his "friends." Everywhere he went, they wouldn't stop talking about how worthless him and his man titties are. Being a loser was a part of his persona. People assumed he could take it because of how he rolled with it. If he had a genetic proclivity towards psychosis, that could have drawn it out.

Not that he deserves empathy now, but that sounds really sad.
His reality is this...he shot an elderly black man in cold blood in Nola East for no good reason. He is about to be in a world of pain inside the system, more so than any fat joke he ever heard in the civilian world.

Ya, but not everyone who is bullied becomes a psychotic killer. Being the butt of every joke was a part of his personality, so administration never knew this was an issue, as far as I know.
