About how old is that high little elf chick in that gif supposed to be?

Our closest neighboring star, Proxima Centauri, is a mind-boggling 25.3 trillion miles away. The fastest man-made spacecraft, the Parker Solar Probe (430,000 mph), would take roughly 7000+ years to arrive there.
The Milky Way is 588 quadrillion miles across its diameter. It takes the fastest thing in the universe, a photon of light, 100,000 years to travel from one side the galaxy to the other.
Those are incomprehensible numbers of our own galaxy. No sense even talking about the universe.

People like to codify everything so that they can have some grasp of what they are dealing with. But the immeasurable size of the universe is just something that will constantly elude us.
Other things on the same scale are that there are an infinity of numbers between 0 and 1, or the last digit of pi.

Our universe is just the arse end of a black hole in someone else's universe. Only thing that negates infinity.
How 'bout dem apples.
How 'bout dem apples.

I can imagine infinite in all directions.

I’ve always loved the website which shows the size of the solar system if the moon were only 1 pixel.
My two favorite ways to illustrate cosmic scale:
If you got on a passenger airliner and flew around the Sun, you would be on that plane for a year.
If the Sun was 1 inch away, the nearest star would be 453 miles away.

There is no “scale” because, as far as the scientists can “imagine”, the universe is infinite.
