I had buddies who would take study breaks on a Monday or Thursday night and around 1:30AM they'd go grab snacks and sit in the parking lot for an hour or so and watch the West Baton Rouge and Livingston trash beat each other's arse until BRPD came and pepper sprayed the entire parking lot.
It was never fraternity guys, it was always WBR and Livingston trash.

It’s quite simple. They don’t fear cops. If cops cracked a few heads every now and then like they did back in the day they would fear them again. These kinds of humans only respond to fear, certainly not good sense or reasoning. Fear and brute force is the only things they really understand.

It's always been nuts. Mardi Gras 1990, a dude got shot five feet from me in front of Pat O'Brians. Two trains of members of different gangs met in the crowd and starting rumbling. It got down to two on one and the one was kicking the two's asses. One of the two pulled out a gun and shot him right there in the middle of a million people. When the shite started, I'd stood my ground when the crowd backed up so I was right on the edge of the scrum and saw it all clearly.

That honestly looked pretty tame, and the cops did a good job. Mostly dramatics from the peep show, which is pretty standard with drunks and other certain groups.

I'm old enough to remember when NOPD was a good department and they did not take any shite.
Back then, those four cops would have wrapped that shite up in about 30 seconds.
A shame they could not just wear those asses out with night sticks like the old days. It's the only thing punks like that understand.
I'm sure the far left would find fault with the way this was handled.
I actually find fault in that they did not knock the homeboy who took his shirt off on his arse from the get-go.
