Good, it should be like alcohol and weed (wheel legal). It's far worse than both

And use of tobacco will drop 0% because of this law

Not sure what the message is here

At this point I'm not sure why we consider 18 to be legal adults

So I guess that everybody under 21 who smokes will now quit.

They can be trusted with stuff as important as that but can't be trusted to decide on smoking or drinking beer?
Well they have proven time and time again that they can't be trusted to drink responsibly.
If the binge drinking along with drinking and driving were less rampant among college students then maybe the age would still be 18.

That is because it is so taboo for kids. If we taught responsible drinking in the home we would have less bingeing in college aged adults.

Ca chooses to discourage tobacco use, as do most other states, via high taxes, age restrictions and use location restrictions. They recognize that the money made on taxes does not cover the ultimate health care costs and lost productivity of smokers. Pretty simple. Absolutely nothing positive about tobacco.

Smoking is fricking disgusting.
This law is fricking ridiculous.

Commercial tomatoes are loaded with nasty stuff, that is why I grow my own.

You have to be 21 to buy tobacco in California now
Makes just as much sense as 21 to buy alcohol.

Shot in the dark here, but I'm gonna guess you're a "small government conservative".

Well there's the whole issue of a state telling an adult, capable of entering into more or less any type of contract and capable of making basically every other decision concerning his life, that he can't purchase fricking tobacco. It's not about the perceived "positives" come from the act using tobacco itself. It's about allowing adults to make their own damn decisions about what they put into their body. I'm not a resident of California nor am I under 21, so this doesn't effect me, but if I was a California resident I would not be happy.
