This is getting a little insane...I hate smoking, but 18 is old enough.

21 in Hawaii, too.

19 already in Alabama, Alaska, New Jersey, Utah, and most of Canada.

Buying tobacco is trashy.

Alcohol and tobacco should both be 18.

I don't drink or smoke, and I agree with this.

Right. Old enough to be drafted to die in a war, but can't have the choice on tobacco?

Not sure what the message is here

I drink, and smoke when I drink at bars, and it is a horrible idea.

Not only do we trust 18 year olds to go to war at 18, but they can also vote . They can be trusted with stuff as important as that but can't be trusted to decide on smoking or drinking beer? Ok.

Same with the city of Boston as of February. Not the entire state of Massachusetts, specifically Boston.

I don't agree with it, I think it should be 18, but I don't smoke...and I'm almost 30.

It's funny how people look down on smokers, but a lot of people promote smoking MJ. Putting smoke in your body is not good for you no matter which leaf you are smoking.

FYI- i do occasionally enjoy a good cigar and I understand that it's not good for me.

Missing out on a lot of tax revenue got a state that's pretty much broke. Seems like a good idea

If your old enough to vote for president of the Free World and get drafted for war then having a beer and/or cigarette should be pretty common sense

But hey I have common sense I guess that's why I can't run for political office
