Boris Yeltsin famously remarked that if ordinary Soviet citizens could see the abundance of American supermarkets, "there would be a revolution", and he later wrote that the experience left him “sick with despair” for the Soviet people

Stunned by the miles of stocked shelves, free cheese samples, and vast selection of goods available to everyday shoppers, he realized that even high-ranking Soviet elites did not live with such access.
Capitalism, baw. Capitalism.
Don't let the goddamn marxists destroy it.

Sores in the mouth not on the mouth. Canker sores are not related to herpes.

I remember seeing Ultra Bright on the shelves. Came in a huge blue tube that was way larger than the competition.
Been a Colgate fan for years. It's the only brand that makes my teeth and breath feel really clean and fresh.
Crest sucks in comparison.

Seriously, next time something makes you wonder about this being the greatest country on earth take a stroll down the cat food aisle at a super market or one of the gargantuan walmarts....fricking row after row of cat food, made from all sorts of shite and all sorts of flavors....at least a good 1200 cubic feet of prime commercial real estate reserved for the palate of an animal that spends an inordinate amount of time licking its own arse. Not counting the shite where the cat can take a shite...or treats....or toys. Just the food. All the cat accessories will have similar row after row of choices of kitty kitty. It is, when you stop and think about it, simply amazing that this is what we can do in the US. Just simply over the fricking top by a gazillion feet and we mostly don't even realize just how over the top it is.

Speaking of toothpaste, a few years ago I got sick and tired of paying 5 and 6 bucks for toothpaste. I now go to dollar tree and get a years worth for 2.50. Ridiculous.
