First of all just start small and give her small subtle compliments on stuff that most likely her SO isn't noticing.

Then work from there.

Yes, I've done it, but on a higher level. Its not your responsibility to fix or elongate their relationship. You should go for it. If she's happy with him then nothing will come of it.

But keep in mind - a cheater is a cheater. She'll cheat on you too. So if you do it, you don't get to bitch when you're on the other end

Is she asking for some kind of commitment from you before she leaves him? If so, the fact that she wants a commitment from someone she barely knows, and is not sleeping with, proves she is insane.

That being said, a few weeks of stretching an insane woman can be a positive life changing experience.

That's girl talk for "I want the benefits of seeing other men without losing how comfortable it is still being with him". If she wanted to get rid of him, she would just break up with him.

well I'm sure in the proper context, your statement would be less "trollish". But to speak in absolutes:

quote:

It's your job to weed out those women before you get married to them, so yes, some of the fault lies with every man that gets divorced.

quote:

No person is without fault in any relationship that goes bad.

is intellectually dishonest at best. How is it a person's fault if their spouse develops an addiction (drugs, alcohol, gambling) and it leads to divorce? What if the husband becomes abusive? Humans have free will and make poor decisions (sometimes unintentionally) that destroy marriages. I don't think they start out with that intention every time. But to blame both parties in every case is absurd. I've personally seen women destroy a marriage without provocation. Men too. Its usually out of selfish desire.
That aint the fault of the spouse.

Yep, my current SO. We started talking, knew we had just about everything in common, and she then broke up with her bf. I didn't even frick or even kiss her before she broke up with him though since I didn't want to be a total scumbag, but we both knew we wanted to be together and it's worked out so far.

the importance of a comma...

the difference between encouraging your friend to have sex with a girl and telling him to bang another man.

Dated a girl who was one of my former assistants. She had a boyfriend who was a total a-hole and treated her like crap. We saw each other almost every night for a couple weeks. Her boyfriend showed up at my office yelling and screaming. He wanted me to back off calling her and stuff. I said something about us being together for the past couple weeks - assuming he knew already - and he was like, "Wait, you went out with her?" It was priceless. Dude lost his shite right there in my office and walked out calling me names through a full waiting room.

You could see it that way. I just generally know that if they have tits they are nuts. We just talking degrees of crazy after that......I would never borrow someone elses trouble.

As I've gotten older, I've changed my attitude about this.

If all parties are in their 20's and unmarried, do what you want.

If they're not married or engaged, then the only thing at stake here is the dude's feelings, and a grown man's feelings just aren't important. Want it? Go after it.
