Had another boat pull up beside us one day, and hold onto the side of our boat to keep from drifting away and throw their lines over our boat to fish along side of where our lines were in the water.

The larger issue is that it isn't even "his". It's a public fishing spot. He just thought he'd roll up and make some bullshite claim to scare someone away from a spot he preferred to first at. And it didn't work. I love it when that shite backfires.
We had a chick like that at work who would try to talk shite if someone parked in "her" parking spot when she'd leave the building for lunch or a PD. We didn't have assigned spots within the lot. She tried to get shitty one day with another coworker, who then purposefully parked in that spot for the rest of the year.

I hate people who think a certain hunting or fishing hole on public water belongs to them.
It’s why I refuse to duck hunt public land anymore. Damn near ended up in gun fights over that shite. You get there first, it’s yours until you leave. Nobody reserves it as there spot, and don’t try to impose yourself on the spot once I’m set up there.

There's a surgeon in Baton Rouge that will take you fishing with him but blindfolds you on the way out there so you don't know his "sweet spots".
