Pelican coolers are best

I have one of these that I got from the Igloo factory sale for $190 last year and it works great
Just saw that the sale for 2015 is this Friday and Saturday.

If I ever buy a Yeti this is what I'm getting. Only $300 and you don't even have to mess with opening a lid.

I recall miltiple times throwing away a $40 igloo "cube" after 3-4 tailgates because people would sit on them
All of my coolers are routinely used as seats and step-stools at tailgates, at deer camp, on the boat, and at cookouts. Other than a busted hinge lid and a broken handle, my cheap coolers have lasted a decade. My friends are mostly not very fat though.

Rogue.....I just did a google search for it, and it pulled up a posting they did on cragslist.

Engal is the first company I've sen that has a soft back pack cooler. Yeti has the Hopper but $300 for a soft walled cooler is way too much. Just need it for golf or tailgating. Typical ones you see leak way too much. Does anyone have any other recs for the soft sided bags?
Polar Bear backpack coolers are great - no leaks and will hold ice for 24+ hours.

I have an ORCA and I have been very happy with it for the last two years. Made in USA and not everybody has one.

I got giant yeti cooler as a company gift. It does keep shite cold for a considerably longer amount of time than the bearproof igloo cooler I had before, but I looked up the retail price on the thing, and I gotta figure there's a happy medium between price and quality out there somewhere.
If I were in the market for one, I'd definitely consider the RTIC, although from their website it seems like they don't offer anything bigger that 65 quarts which kind of sucks.

I have a K2 60qt I think it is, and I must say I'm not very impressed at all with it's ability to hold ice. Last year at Thanksgiving when we traveled to meet family I packed it down and by the next afternoon (less than 24hrs) I was having to go to the store for more ice and it was cool outside. It is pretty durable, though not as durable as a YETI, but it was also about $100 cheaper too. If I spend good money on another I would probably go with either RTIC or the Pelican from Costco.

Ok, so I won a Yeti 20 Hopper cooler in a drawing the other day. Brand spanking new, still has the tags on it. I see that they retail for $300 at Academy and Amazon. Personally, I don't have the need for a $300 cooler. Anyone in the market for one of these? I'd sell it for $220, save you $100 with the tax and all, at least if you bought it from Academy. If interested, email me at supadave3@gmail.com

I have always wondered if it was really harder to just add some more ice to your igloo, Coleman, Walmart cooler rather than dropping $399 on a cooler to not add more ice? Of course I have yet to see a bumper sticker that says
"I'm cheap and just add more ice to my xxx cooler!"

This should tell you all you need to know about the kind of person who actually owns a yeti cooler; the engineer in the cubicle next to mine has the smallest hard sided cooler, personal size sorta, and he brings his lunch to work in it every day. This tool actually keeps his class ring on a chain and puts it on when we have VIPs come in the office.

I have 3 Yetis.
I won 2 at my old job and I bought 1 through their "employee discount" deal last year for like 60% off. I don't use them near enough to pay full price but they're pretty nice. I never need ice to hold for a week but they work great for a day or two. Durable as hell, which is why I like them.
I don't think there is much difference in any of the high-end models.
