They already made their money. They can lower their prices in order to compete with all the others or close the doors. I don’t feel sorry for them ripping off people for years. For the record I don’t own one of their ice chest

I'm sure Rtic will file their Ipo for 1/2 the price soon. In reality yeti has probably maxed out value for a niche product. They should have done the ipo 2-3 years ago if they wanted to cash out.

Did their IPO not make it in the shipping container from China?

I don't know how they made any money at all. Everyone has one, and everyone claims they didn't pay for it.

I’ve got 2....won a 25qt at ducks unlimited banquet and bought a 45qt through ducks unlimited for volunteering. Have 250 bucks invested in both. That said, I bought a RTIC 30qt soft shell a couple years ago and have used the yetis since.

RTIC and Walmart's Ozark have made near identical bags and cups for substantially less. (Along with the many other companies)

Yeti Hopper 40 - $349.99
- Holds 34 cans of beer
RTIC SoftPak 30 - $107.99
- Holds 30 cans of beer
Ozark Jumbo Tote - $48.64
- Holds 36 cans of beer

Cmon man...

When did ice become so expensive that everyone needs a luxury ice chest?

For those that shop at Academy, check out the cups by Magellan. My wife bought one a couple of weeks ago. They make a 12 and a 20 oz tumbler, and the lids from RTIC and Yeti fit as well. I think she paid $6 for it, powdercoated. And unlike the little 10 oz Yeti like I have, this one is flared at the bottom and fits in her cupholders.

It’s a bad business model! If the coolers don’t fall apart nobody is buying new ones every year. Things aren’t made to last for a reason

Translation: I've spent 97% of my life in the city or suburbs, but I want people to think I'm gritty. If given the option, I'd much rather spend my Saturday getting drunk at my townhouse complex's pool than in the woods or on the water.

It's an ok model I think if they keep selling them to suckers and keep coming out with enough new items. Not for a public company though. They're not going to show the constant growth. Just a guess.
