Very happy to find this thread today!
The staff at Texas Children's (who is now the very top of my donation list) sent him out with a Wilderman cape, and a copy of, "The Places You'll Go", signed with what looked like 70 paragraphs of words of encouragement, love, and well-wishes.
I can't speak well enough of that place. Houston, y'all don't have a problem at all.

Been reading all the email updates through gfm. This is great news! God bless y'all and I will continue to pray for his health!

Double bacon burger, all the way.
You baws haven't lived until you get slaw on a burger.
I made a deal with myself a long time ago to overlook those who love Dub's. I will do that for you.

My daughter was there for a fetal blood transfusion in March. Cannot say enough about the place. Absolutely incredible people.

I've been following this thread hoping to hear your nephew was out soon, awesome news
My son was in LeBonheur Children's in Memphis for a week back in August. They too became my top fundraising cause. Those places really put things in perspective when you see that no matter how bad your situation is, there are plenty of kids who have it worse in there. One thing they told us was they always need new toys for the kids to play with while hospitalized

My Bonnie Dune days are over.
One of my best friends growing up did live in a house on Sanderfer down from BD, though.

He's a big fella. One of my cousins and his wife had their first boy about a month and a half before Wilder came along - and his parents are BIG folks - but little double dub outweighs his second cousin by 4 lbs. I think he's at around 23 lbs right now.

Watching him outgrow everything the hospital had for him was something else. He's been healthy in that regard. I imagine it was odd for the folks involved with caring for him. Those babies are usually so tiny.

Will he stay on oxygen for a while?
And...if he was throwing up a peace sign, that would be the perfect pic.

Yes, but I'm not sure about the timeframe. Otherwise, he should be free of any medication. I think the oxygen is just a preventative measure - by all accounts, he's as right as rain.
