Female Navy skipper relieved of command.

Spoke to an air traffic controller over the weekend. The DEI nonsense extends to this and it's not a joke. Promotions are prioritized for women and people of color.
Worked with a guy who's wife went through ATC school and was basically told she wouldn't get a job because she was white. One of the guys in her class got a perfect score on the exam and was told the same thing. This was 10 years ago so I'm sure it's only gotten worse.

Same for pilots.
If you're white no matter how good you test and preform you go to the bottom of the pile of applicants. They need more women, people of color and trans pilots.
Doesn't that make you feel perfectly safe when boarding an aircraft.

That fruitcake is not a U.S. Navy officer.He/she is an admiral in U.S. Public Health Service.
I have no idea why the Public Health Service chose Navy uniforms and rank structure but they did.I worked with a NP that went to work for them,he was started at rank of Lt.Commander,he had no prior military service.
That being said, the Navy has a serious problem.I get regular emails from Military.com and the Navy is frequently relieving commanding officers from various ships and commands. Both male and female.
My impression from my time in the Navy is the officer corps is a social club, officers are promoted not on merit but on political skills. When they get command positions they are incompetent.(Peter Principle)
4 years ago my grandson was offered $30,000 to join the Navy out of high school for the nuclear program. He had A in high school,physics,32 on ACT and very high ASVAB score.I advised him strongly not to do it and he listened. He got a full academic scholarship so he’s doing well.
He’s the type the Navy needs but I didn’t want him subjected to all their fricked up bullshite.
One big problem the Navy has is putting women on ships.Talking to retirees and reading on forums is that women are a big distraction and contribute nothing to the cohesiveness of the crew.Rather, there is a problem with sailors vying for the attention of the women, causes jealousy, fights, etc.

Come on Navy, do better please. Are these "New Navy" officers getting any training or are we just checking boxes?
I wouldn’t want to check her box.

From a combat readiness standpoint there is nothing to gain and much to lose by having females serving in any military role other than medical and support roles. It’s not politically correct to point this out, but the fact stands.

I remain rather conflicted on this. On the one hand I see your point and actually have leaned toward that thinking myself but on the other hand, this lunacy in the military isn't going to fix itself.
I'm afraid that good soldiers and sailors will have to take the military back from the loons. But it's terrifying to think of willingly sending your child into that nightmare.
The irony of being more concerned with sending your child into a difunctional woke military than them going into actual war shouldn't be lost on anyone.
Unfortunately war is likely the fastest way and maybe only way to rid the military of this ridiculous DEI BS.

That was the perfect ship for her. Isn't it supposed to run aground.

Another woman there’s your prblem
Posted on 6/10/24 at 12:29 pm to TBoy
quote:Well, if you were going to actually glean information on this topic, then the first thing to look up would be comparing the two by per capita rates. Another metric would be how well they actually commanded their ship, but that's a metric that would be much harder to compute. I've no idea what the per capita rates are (and neither do you), but to compare the number of males to females on raw numbers to come to the conclusion that, because more males have been relieved of command than females, therefore the two are just as capable or incapable of being a leader of men is like saying white people are more likely to commit more violent crimes than black people because they commit more crimes. Of course they commit more crimes, but not by the most important, telling factor, i.e., per capita.
If we are to glean from this that women are not suited for command, we need to compare these decisions with every man that has been relieved of command. Or is it something special about women.
But we all know you're not capable of such realistic expectations unless it inolves some useless sports stat. Besides, what is a woman, any way?
