Flip the script:
White Yale and Columbia students have been protesting against blacks on campus, wearing white sheets with KKK symbols. They have been chanting anti black slurs and demanding that the universities divest themselves of anything to do with black students.
Over/Under on how long it takes the school to remove them in outrage? Vegas has 1 hour. I have the under.

Why do students a thousand miles away think they can impact shite in the Middle East?
When I was in school, between attending classes, studying, assignments, my on-campus job (for the last couple years), and my social life, I didn't have time to be worried about what was going on on the other side of the world. Senior year was filled with job and grad school applications, as well.
And by no means was I qualified then to give an educated stance on complex geopolitical issues. I had so much else in my life going on and wasn't arrogant enough to think that I was some expert on world affairs at such a young age.
You hear about most of these protests at these high-profile, expensive schools where Mommy and Daddy are paying tuition. When I worked at a regional school, where a lot of the students were in the military in the past, and/or had full-time jobs, and/or had kids at home, there was little to none of this. Everyone was too busy/had too many responsibilities to have the privilege of just camping out in the middle of campus protesting.

I saw some video footage of the Yale protest. Sutdents out there yukking it up having a good time, comfortable with blankets, tents, etc and what appears to be catered food brought in. Seems a tad incongruent with the plight of who/what they are protesting. All a game to so many of them. The Ivies will eat themselves before long if this is the way they are going
Wouldn't be surprised if some or maybe many are just picking up a $100 check for holding a sign and chanting slogans, not that that makes it right. The universities could stop a lot of this by rounding them up and expelling them for threatening and preventing fellow students from going to class. Then you would quickly find out who the terrorist were.

It's refreshing to see the Christians finally be able to step back and watch for once.
Not our fight

Group of Yale students form a human chain to BLOCK a Jewish student from entering the University.
All they have to do is call in Oldmanbeasley and that chain will be broken. Oldmanbeasley is an elite Red Rover player.

We have the technology to end these protests. It’s time to unleash the piss bomb equipped trebuchets.

Because doing something would be racist.

Why no Charlottesville comparisons? This is the same shite

Is it a prerequisite for one to go to an Ivy League school to be a raging, leftwing, nutjob liberal? I'm dead serious. Do any conservative, "salt of the earth type(s)" attend there?
If so, I'd presume they are such a small fraction and that they bury their thoughts and ideas most likely don't hear of any due to the imminent threat of being "blackballed" and projected as an outcast.
It's really interesting (and dangerous) in higher academia. With a couple of exceptions (maybe 3 - 5 schools), they're all just big, gigantic echo chambers devoid of individuality and freedom of thought.

Yea there are, but they keep a low profile. They also have legitimate majors. All the limp-wristed pinkos you see on the news are coming from the bull shite humanities and arts departments.

The email they sent him is bananas, it's essentially "you're reminded you have a fiduciary duty not to get our terrorists-in-making riled up, sir"
Not kidding, they actually reminded him of his fiduciary duty to the school.
The reality is that plenty of this stuff is likely overblown. Jewish/Israeli interest groups do make a habit of conflating criticism of Israel with antisemitism. Probably for good reasons (genuine fear of a slippery slope that leads to Jews being hurt or killed) and not so good reasons (obviously there is power and influence that comes with being able to label your broader opposition as Nazi-like).
That said, it's apparent that academia, in this moment, just doesn't care. They're done with optics. Treating the "go back to Poland" types with kid gloves is just insane to watch. The radical left is just a fascinating beast to watch, with all their internal contradictions.
I'm not optimistic we'll ever have much of a Thermidorian reaction in this country, but man, how entertaining that would be to witness if it happened on the streets.

About 3/4 of those folks are just protesting to get out of class and to party. I call BS on the whole thing.

As I recall Jews were a big part of the Russian Revolution.
And then were killed by Lenin and his pals.
