Many people have started their own company or got a better job at the point you are at right now. Give a few days before you make moves. Good luck.

If I had zero fks I’d probably do this.

I did see a friend share a gig to transport water jugs for like $25/hr. There is decent stuff out there for one looking to immediate fill.

LSU is on TV.

Work won’t interfere with watching it now.

For real though…good luck.

Best thing that happened to me, 10 years ago. The job market is hot. Learn a new skill or enhance your current knowledge and use it to secure another job. Best of luck.

Going to take it easy this week and make it my full time job to find another job starting next week. I'm seriously thinking of leaving Nola for good. Might head to Austin or another city that has a better tech scene.

Software Development. I've worked primarily on the back-end (Node/Java/Python) but have front-end experience (React/Angular). Open to learning whatever technology is needed for the job.

If I leave I want to go at least a couple hundred miles north. Carolinas or Tennessee. Maybe even New England.

Can't stand those northern winters but Tennessee/North Carolina area would be nice. I wonder what the job market is like in Chattanooga or Asheville?

Step one - Go to the hall and sign the books. Get a travel letter.

Step two - Go to state employment office /website and apply for unemployment.

Step three - if your local has nothing at this point hit the road...sign the books everywhere.

If you do not know what any of this means I guess polish up your resume and mass apply on indeed and other sites.

I was at my last job for 18 yrs and 8 months. Got laid off, kinda saw it coming. Ended up with a new career making way more money and better benefits with enough work to last us 20 years.

If I was younger and single with no kids I'd get out of LA.

Although, I understand family/friend considerations as well.
