The 2025 GMC Yukon has a starting MSRP of $69,395 for the Elevation trim, while the top-of-the-line Denali Ultimate starts at $103,995.
We have a 2023 Yukon 4x4 SLT and we love it. But their prices have gone from bad to insane for these full sized SUVs.
For 104K, you can probably get into a Lexus LX, Mercedes GLS, BMW X7, or an Escalade. All of them are much better finished with a much better dealer experience than most GMC stores.
Same thing with the Ford or Toyota.....not touching them for over $70k. And for that price it should be pretty well loaded. And the new Armada may be nice, but it's also a Nissan so you have to deal with a horrific dealer network to get one and terrible resale.

I see they are going with that oblong type steering wheel. Are those supposed to be more ergonomic?

Disagree here. Really like the Trd pro Sequoia.
Some pretty big flaws with the new Sequoia. I wouldn't be able to look past them for what the TRD Pro model costs.

Safety feature so Bubba can get his hands on the steering wheel without interference from his gut.

I'd want the Tremor version, if they'd put a 5.0 in it and the 36 gal gas tank like my F150 has.

In 2018, a Ford Expedition was half the price of what is listed in the OP.
And it's the same thing underneath too.

This is closer to a station wagon than it is to an SUV.

So what happens when Bubba has to steer his Expedition to the right or the left?

Drive, yes, buy, no.
I love these "would you drive it" threads and it's just an $80k vehicle.

And the Ford Expedition has a comparable price.
That is retarded.
What do any of those cars offer that the cheaper SUVs don’t?
The answer is nothing.
This isn’t 1995 where the more expensive brands offered better options. They are all the same now.
The more expensive ones just cost more to fix when you inevitably run into something.

Nah for that price I'd want something better looking. I see nothing offered here by Ford other than just a big vehicle with lots of space.

IIRC, that one is a full sized Land Cruiser. If the new ones prove as reliable as the old ones......$106k might not be too bad. They likely last 50% longer than the alternatives.

I wouldn't, but there are thousands of assholes born every minute.

Talking about the motor issues or something else? Motor issues were resolved.

for what the TRD Pro model costs.
I agree that they are overpriced, but with what the standard or just one up models in the Tahoe and Explorer are costing now you can get the pro in the Toyota. Prices on all of them are getting out of hand.

But, you can finance a $150k bay boat for 20-30 years now and people are buying those about as fast as we can make em, and bringing them to a rigging shop and financing $30k of electronics for 5 years on top of that.
Dude boat prices are fricking insane right now.

Below is the interior of a new Escalade. The Escalade also comes standard with a 6.2L V8 engine. The only option on a Explorer is a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost.

That looks really nice. Definitely better than the Expedition.
Not sure if it's $20k nicer, but it's definitely nicer.

These car prices are retarded and you have people who are paying it.
In 2005, super cars we’re going for $100-200k.
A Galardo was going for $167k 20 years ago.
Now, people are paying $100k for a fricking expedition.
Americans are insane.
You can thank lenders for that. The average term for an auto loan in 2005 was 48 months. Today it's 67 months and can extend up to 84 months...

Already seeing that become an issue with current vehicles.

Why do you need a V8? Why does the average soccer mom Escalade driver need a V8?

I dont blame the lenders for it. I blame the customers stupid enough to sign up for that shite. The problem is so many stupid people did it in enough quantity that its fricked the market all up.
